If I could give 10 Stars I would! My sweet best friend brought me with her to get a Brazilian done by Meredith. She's done them for a long time & was confident that it would be something I could do too! I did it & Meredith made the experience that much better. Any pain was gone instantly, she made sure I was comfortable & was my cheerleader throughout the experience. Meredith is the most gentle, kind & warm-hearted person I've ever met in the cosmetic industry. I cannot wait to continue doing Brazilian's here with her & so much more. Thank you Meredith! Xoxo

Charlottesville, VA. 2022. 65 years old. Went for valentines day for dermaplaning, only $50, worth every penny. I will try to do this every 3 months. Early mothers day gift from family was a gift card there. Lynne suggested getting the Hydrafacial ($200). OMG! This is better than any procedure. Your skin looks amazing. I had so many people come up to me and ask me what I used on my face.

If I could afford it, I would do this every month but sadly next time will be gift card for birthday in September. Highly Highly recommend if you are looking for a pick me up/rejuvenation! Love this place. I have been going there for over 10 years for my mother's day gift and Birthday gift from my family. Everyone there has always been upbeat and very well informed. Doreen is fantastic. They have a price list on their site which no other place has that I have seen so there are no surprises. Highly recommend.

I travel over 2-1/2 hours for regular skin care treatments with Lyn Chang and it is well worth it! She is the best esthetician I have ever had.

Got my first laser hair removal treatment today and it was great. Kelly is so kind and gentle and made sure I was feeling comfortable the whole time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for laser hair removal.

If i could give a zero rating i would. I had to literally go to a new doc to have them tell me how botched my lips were from the injector at this place. It was so bad that he had to dissolve all of the filler i had so that my lips could be fixed. I would just love to save anyone that pain and money from going through all of this. No one wants to spend $650 on a botched lip filler job just to have the filler migrate around your mouth bc it was done so poorly by the injector and also created a uneven sausage lip that looked dreadful, just to have to spend more money to get it reversed from someone who actually knows what they are doing. So please save your time and money and never go here.

Dr. Straka and her team are THE BEST! She gives me Botox for my bruxism and also for cosmetic wrinkle lines on my face. I am not kidding when I say this has changed my life. At the beginning, I liked the service for the hair removal that made me keep coming back. However, today, I called earlier in the morning to confirm my appointment because I never got any responses like text messages. Then, they told me that they dont have my name down my future appointment, even if I made sure that I did make the appointment with people on the phone for two weeks ahead of time and also it is my third time for the hair removal.

They said they would contact me back but they never did. I called for the second time, they were still not able to do anything and again we will contact you back. I'm very disappointed with the systems and carelessness with customers. I mean, if you are not able to contact back please say so. Thanks to all the experiences with the service that I got. It made me not want to come back and not sign up for the next treatment course again.

Absolutely the best results! I was "prepping" for a wedding and trip to California and wanted to look my best. Doreen Schuett delivered! She is an expert with Botox and fillers. I trusted her recommendations and the results were better than I expected. She was also very patient and compassionate during the procedure as I am a bit sensitive. You are in the best hands with Signature Medical Spa and Doreen's expertise, you deserve to look your best and she will help you achieve it! Thank you Doreen!

I have been going to signature medical spa for several years now and they never disappoint. I have had lash extensions to micro-needling done (specifically by Kelly) and have always enjoyed my experience. Kelly and the other staff are very professional, friendly, and go above and beyond to give quality service. I have recommended friends and family who always have great things to say about their experience as well.

This time it's 5 stars! Just had a little "maintenance" done by Jody, with her skillful filler injections to cheeks, lips and marionette lines. The results are amazing! Jody is an artist with fillers, knows just where to inject so that the final look is new and improved but totally natural. My cheeks are lifted, without "apple cheeks", lips a bit fuller, but no "duck lips", permanent little frown is gone and I look like me, but the happy, rested, more youthful version of me. Jody is also a sweetie, she gifted me a few good travel size samples and added a lovely note of good wishes, since I'm moving back to Italy in a few days. I'm going to miss Signature and all the amazing staff.

If I could give a rating and recommendation over and over, I would! Hands down. Signature Med Spa has some of THE BEST people on staff. Everyone is always sooo kind and welcoming and they are always willing to help in any way they can! The pricing is a little higher than some other competitors, but you are getting quality products and services that are worth every penny. Kelly is LITERALLY magic with eyelash extensions and Meredith's facials are so dreamy and refreshing! Unfortunately, we are moving and I won't be able to be back anytime soon. but if you are in the Cville area and looking for services, you won't be disappointed at Signature!

Cool sculpting: close to $3000 and my 1" fat roll around my waist went to 3 1/2". The worst part, being lied to and shown before-pics (The after-pics disappeared.) and acting like it was all in my head.

Not quite 2 mos ago I had Cool Sculpting with Jill. She is GREAT! Her warm, caring, and compassionate manner helped calm this "nervous nellie". She is very professional. Walked me through the entire process so I knew what to expect. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I felt well cared for and that I was in very capable hands. The procedure went well. Jill checked in with me by phone to follow my progress (which I didn't expect and it really impressed me).

I wish there were more professional like Jill out there. I can't say enough good things about her. I went in today for my follow up appointment and after seeing the before and after pictures I am really pleased. I could see just how much things are changing! Thank you Jill, I would highly recommend you, Cool Sculpting, and Signature Medical Spa.

I had Coolsculpting with Linda Pitt at Signature Medical Spa in June 2019. Linda first evaluated me and came up with a plan to treat my areas of concern. She was extremely thorough and I felt confident knowing what to expect during and after my treatment. For the treatment itself, I was made very comfortable and was even able to relax and watch Netflix on the TV in the room!

The appointment was only a few hours and I was able to get back to my day-to-day life immediately. My results were even better than I had hoped for, and I know part of that is due to Linda's diligence and expertise. I had a fantastic experience overall, and am excited to do more in the future!

Unbelievable--if you want to see your body butchered come and and let them try their version of "cool sculpting" on you. Without any medical supervision that I could see a barely educated practitioner destroys your skin tone and contours. For the bargain price of $2000+. Great place guys! Hope you're raking in the money because the company now refuses to honor attempts to undo the damage bad practitioners of this can inflict.

If you value your health and looks stay far far away from Dr. Straka. I do sincerely hope the company investigates this practice thoroughly. It is a disgrace to our community.

I don't understand how anyone could give this business a poor review. This is the most caring and welcoming business I have ever been to of any kind. Everyone is accommodating, kind, and sincerely appreciative of your patronage from the welcoming reception staff, to the assistants, to the amazing Dr. Straka herself. It is a pleasure and a treat to enjoy services from their staff, and Dr. Straka is a compassionate and very knowledgeable practitioner who not only strives to leave her patients satisfied, but also to connect with them on a more personable level.

As cosmetic services go, treatments can be expensive, but Dr. Straka understands this and is far more concerned with correcting issues that have caused her patients lifelong insecurities than with turning any sort of profit. She is a great example of someone with genuine empathy for others and it shines through in how personally she tailors treatment plans to her clientele and follows up with her patients, even if there has been a gap between visits.

I would never trust anyone else with my skin, and especially my face, as I do this business. I've had a couple of other treatments here including a facial and no matter who I've seen the experience has been the same, so professional, knowledgeable, individualized, and thorough. Everyone in this spa has such an amazing attitude, it leaves you feeling a bit more positive.

I had a rosacea hydrofacial today. My skin feels amazing. The staff was curteous and professional. They made my next appt and I cannot wait to feel better abt myself.

I got a terrible life-threatening infection/hematoma from here and the doctors were clueless. It was obvious to the ER docs, among many others. Beware of medical spas, especially this one!

I'm from Southern California and I've been to my fair share of spas. This "medical spa" is far, far below average. I came in for simple dermaplaning and the esthetician who I saw just got started right away. I would've at least expected she would cleanse my skin first. It felt disgusting and I've never had a dermaplaning experience that painful before.

On top of that, when I later got in my car, I looked in the mirror and my face was nicked. There were tiny splotches of blood on my face. As for the front desk, I've never encountered such unprofessional staff. They acted as if this was their dorm room or something, talking to each other completely casually and not like they're at their workplace at all.

One girl was writing an email to her boss asking for some time off and then she proceeded to read it out loud for the other two girls to hear to make sure her email sounded okay. As I was leaving, the two girls at the front desk who were just sitting couldn't even bother to acknowledge that a paying client was leaving. Their unprofessionalism might be acceptable and the norm in Charlottesville, but this business wouldn't last in California, or anywhere else for that matter.

I've been going now for a few years and Lynn is awesome! She is not only excellent at her work but takes pride in it and cares about her clients. I highly recommend her!

I have been a client of Signature Medical Spa since they first opened. All of my experiences have been extremely positive. I was surprised to see some one star reviews for the Spa, but having read them and looking at the stats for the reviewers I realize that some folks must be generally unhappy and will never be pleased as the majority of their reviews are negative.

One reviewer went so far as to personally attack the looks of the staff. Totally uncalled for in any circumstance. I have had facials, IPL, thermage, fillers, and several other treatments at Signature Medical Spa. I was surprised to find that several of the practitioners are actually nurses working as aestheticians. The remaining aestheticians are all properly trained and their certifications are posted in the various rooms.

They don't need to be personally supervised by a doctor, but they are conscientious and concerned enough about their clients that they will get a doctor from the medical practice if the need arises. The staff are professional, considerate, helpful, and beautiful. I have never felt that any service or product was being pushed on me, nor have I ever felt that anyone was trying to upsell.

Quite the opposite. Sometimes when I've asked about services, I've been told that a special is coming up and they recommend I wait for the special so that I can save money. When asking the aestheticians about services, they have always been honest with me about my expectations and the expected results. They have even advised me not to have treatments because, based on their experience, I would not get the expected results.

I appreciate their honesty. Dr. Bonnie Straka, owner of the spa, and a very well known and respected doctor in Charlottesville, is extremely generous both professionally and personally. Her practice supports several charities locally and internationally. I am happy to support her business.

Do not patronize Signature Medical Spa. They perform procedures with very little medical supervision. They refused to follow up with me when I incurred a medical problem. The Spa is poorly managed and run. The services they offer require close medical supervision. However "Dr." Bonnie Straka is only interested in collecting money, not in supervising services to make sure they are safe.

I suppose it is quite profitable as her lack of supervision enables this "medical spa" to offer a plethora of badly administered services. You take your health and well being in your hands when you visit Signature Medical Spa. There are many safer and more legitimate alternatives. While you will see an attempt to neutralize my words in their response below, it simply is not true that they act with integrity, or even common courtesy or professionalism in this spa.

After paying $2500 for a procedure that was delivered entirely without medical supervision, when medical complications occurred Dr. Straka not only refused to refund even part of the fee but also personally refused to offer follow up care. This is entirely unprofessional and probably actionable if one cared to pursue it. But then this behavior is what our community has come to expect from this establishment. My recommendation is to stay away.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at Signature Medical Spa since my first visit three months ago. Everyone there is friendly, polite, and professional, on the phone and in person. I was assigned to Leigh for my initial consultation and she was very warm and welcoming. At that first meeting, we went over the laser treatment I was interested in to correct extensive sun damage on my face and chest as well as some of the body contouring options available. Leigh was extremely knowledgeable and straightforward about the various procedures we discussed, and although she herself has beautiful skin and is very trim and fit, at no time did I feel self-conscious in the slightest, even during her close inspection of my "problem areas." Since then, I have had several treatments on my face and body (you could say I am working my way down), all with Leigh, and all with great results.

She understands that my goal is not to be younger or even look younger, but to look and feel youthful. She doesn't try to sell me on any procedure or skin care product, but instead weighs the various options -- some brought up by me that I have seen advertised over the years and some suggested by her that I have never heard of -- and then makes recommendations for me to choose from based on her many years of experience and what she thinks will work best within the parameters of my skin and body type, age, goals, and (of course) budget. Leigh clearly loves helping people feel good about themselves, not through a pointless quest to recapture their youth, but by uncovering their best version of themselves, no matter what their age. (Or mileage!)

I've been an on-and-off patient for years. Although I've never had substantial work done, I've found the estheticians to be kind and competent. They are willing to discuss treatment options with you, and some are a bit more "salesperson" than others, but they respect a simple, "I'm not interested."

This place offers lots and lots of different procedures and cares, but the human element absolutely brings it down. Unless I had a run of terrible luck, every doctor seems utterly incompetent. I saw them having trouble even operating the machinery, and being aloof in their overall treatment. A nice place and lots of options does not make up for bad service.

Poorly managed Practice. Signature Medical Spa's services are priced higher than similar services in the geographical area. They state it is because clients are getting the very best providers. Clients and prospective clients should investigate this claim.

I love this place! I have been here several times and have had nothing but amazing experiences. The staff is wonderful (thank you Rachel for smiling, being helpful, and being happy!) Doreen is the ONLY person I trust in this area to be honest about my skin care needs and esthetics. She has a wonderful personality and is very easy to communicate with.

She is also phenomenal with her application of injectables. I'm a previous client of a prestigious clinic in NYC and have zero hesitation in saying that Doreen's work is far better! While this clinic is moderately expensive, I believe you truly get what you pay for. In this case, it's money well spent. Regarding previous post: it's my understanding that everyone's body processes injectables at a different rate.

It seems that different fillers react differently as well. Having fillers done for half a decade, I can safely say that this has been true with me. Fillers may just not be suitable for your friends lips. For what it's worth, I think it's unfair to rate a business when you have no first hand experience with them.

My dear friend and favorite beauty guru on youtube went to this "professional/knowledgable" establishment to receive lip injections. After six weeks of receiving Juvederm ultra plus, this young woman's lips completely disappeared. I encouraged her to go in and ask for a re-do at a discounted price, or ask for her money back, but they belittled her and made her out to feel like "it was all in her head."The discount they offered was a complete joke and not up to current market standards.

I am in the industry in another state, and I can confidently say that they either injected her poorly on her initial visit or mixed the product with saline. There is no reason why a young, healthy, hydrated woman would have Juvederm Ultra Plus metabolize so quickly. For the first week or so swelling gave the illusion of a bigger lip. However, it was evident upon examination there was NO product in her lips whatsoever. I wouldn't trust an establishment who gaslights clients with something as precious as my face. No stars! Save your money and run honey;

I go to albemarle dermatology and they recommended going to signature med spa to help get rid of brown spots on my face. Setting up an initial consultation was a little bit difficult. I was put on hold several times and the receptionist kept asking my name as if she and forgotten it after putting me on hold each time. When I finally did get in for the consultation I was a little late.

They still fit me in however, I felt rushed and I didn't speak with an actual doctor. Now after reading reviews I am not quite sure if I wish to return. I don't want to end up with scars.
