I have only been in for a consultation and one appointment, but already feel the need to rave about how great I think Lapiel is! They allowed me to come in for an in person consult which I really appreciated, took plenty of time to talk and ask questions, and when I needed to reschedule a bit due to covid, were very helpful and accommodating. At the first appointment, Angela was very kind, totally filled me in on the process, and let me stress talk/ask questions as needed. I'm looking forward to continuing on with them!

I have been coming to Lapiel for years now and my skin is in the best shape of my life. The staff is warm and personable, and always remember who I am. Julie has been taking care of my skin for some time, and their Botox is impeccable. Cannot recommend enough!

I have done several services at La Piel and I have never been disappointed. They have very educated and trustworthy staff that ensure you are making the best decision for yourself. I am in the process of doing laser hair removal and facial contour and I am already seeing results. I have also done a carbon facial and my skin felt amazing afterwards- I have very sensitive and reactive skin and I did not break out after. Very clean, uplifting and fun environment I always leave satisfied.

This review is long overdue. I started going to Lapiel in Aug of 2018 (3 months before my wedding). What was supposed to be just a simple "wedding skin prep" service turned into a every 6 weeks with their former Aesthetician, Olivia. I would do a mixture of their Glytone Chemical peels and Dermalinfusion treatments (Buy a 3 treatment package - it's worth it).

I was there until about March 2020 and then we all know happened. I recently went back in August for a botox treatment and am so happy with the results. I could gush on and on about this place but you just have to see for yourself. Highly recommend to anyone looking for either that "wedding day glow" or just everyday pampering.

This place is excellent! The bedside manner of the nurses is amazing. I felt so comfortable even when I wasn't sure getting the Brazilian. I highly recommend!

Catalina, Ariana and of course my girl Julie are all amazing. I have been going to LaPiel for years. Catalina is excellent, calm and patient. She talks you through while you're getting the laser hair removal. It's been a few years since I've gotten a touch-up, that's how great she is. Julie is fantastic! My skin has never felt better, plus the products are great for my sensitive skin.

She never sells you on products or procedures you don't need. Plus she is the sweetest! I see her every 6-8 weeks without fail. Ariana, what can I say, she's the face of LaPiel! Hilarious, very down-to-earth, just a caring person. She's always a pleasure, never rude, very accommodating. If you're going to be late, please have some common courtesy to call.

If there's a problem, just call. I had one minor discomfort during a laser session. Instead of bashing them on social media, I called and explained my dilemma. They were able to see me within 48 hours. One call is all it took to remedy the problem. Don't be so quick to bash a business on social media.

Angelica is incredible at laser hair removal! She takes the time to explain everything and answers all of your questions. She is super sweet and personable! I've had my armpits and bikini area done by her and I'm beyond happy with my results. She's a miracle worker with the laser!

Angelica is amazing! I have had laser hair removal for a Brazilian and under arms and the results are amazing. She is very professional and really took her time assessing the area to make sure I'd achieve the best results! The packages are pricey but the laser used yields the best results. I had tried places that offered groupons in the past and have not seen results. After just one session I noticed a significant difference. I will purchase more packages in the future!

Lapiel is the real deal. I'm new to Chicago and found Lapiel after trying to book an appointment at several other establishments who didn't return my call or advertised services on the website that they didn't actually offer. Lapiel got back to me within the day and booked my appointment the following day. Every single person I interacted with from booking to the consultation through payment was patient, kind, and thorough. They take the time to answer your questions and walk you through the process. Can't recommend them enough!

Horrible customer service. Very rude front desk and over priced in comparison to the plethora of laser spas in Chicago. To preface, I had 3 treatments with LL and my hair is still there and my skin on my bikini line is darker; I mean the entire inner thighs are a shade darker. I plan to upload pictures. Do not dare try to reschedule an appointment, this is when they go from fake nice to very rude.

Mind you, they reschedule my appointment and that was ok but apparently you cannot do the same. My last visit, the technician didn't even offer me goggles (very dangerous to your eyes) and I had to ask for a stress ball. I have already told my friends to stay far away and I am going to blast them on my social media as well. They were just too rude and disrespectful on my last visit.

Wonderful caring place. Catalina explains all sides of the procedure. My face is younger than 15 years ago. Think I'm kidding I'm not. I had lines filled in when she used to do juvederm it still holds up. Twice a year skin tightening on my face and neck and my face has not sagged the way my brother and sisters have. Skin tightening is my key to a mostly wrinkleless face at age 57. I haven't had Botox either. I'm sure I'd look even better with it but I'm happy with 15 years of their skin tightening regularly.

Catalina is amazing! Wonderful listener to any concerns and makes conservative recommendations to start. Ariana who has been with her for years is extremely responsive, kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

This place is great - I have been going there for years (since 2014) and receive the best service. Catalina is always extremely professional and helpful. Getting laser hair removal has made a tremendous impact on my life as I struggled with an extremely painful ingrown hair issue for many years before. I wish I had done it sooner. I could not recommend Lapiel more!

Anyone I ever encountered at the front desk at Lapiel was extremely unpleasant. They were inflexible and entirely unreasonable. I had been going there for a couple of years, and one time I arrived 5 minutes late and was told that my appointment would be cancelled and "as a courtesy" the cancellation fee would be waved. Please. Another time, I called on my way in a terrible snowstorm and traffic, and said that I would be late, and was charged the $75 fee. Not only was the woman who answered the phone rude, but no regard for the situation was given. Awful customer service.

I've been coming here for a few years and it's one of the things I look forward to the most! Julie is a fantastic aesthetician and always makes me feel so great after each visit. if you want the ultimate pamper session book a Dermalinfusion with an eminence facial! The skincare lines available are great and they also offer latisse and Botox. My experience getting Botox with Catalina was great, she was very thorough and answered every question and concern I had. I look forward to trying so many other services they offer. Ariana is a gem and always makes the experience that much better! I can not recommend them enough!

Lovely and clean, the front desk staff is welcoming and efficient. My appointment started exactly on time and ended early. I had several sensitive areas treated and Catalina was flawlessly professional. Having had my initial consult with her, I was already comfortable with her and how detailed she was about the procedures. During the appointment, she explained to me each specific area she was about to treat and how, warned me accurately about pain levels and checked in with me consistently ensure I was comfortable and able to tolerate any "spicy" areas.

She also kept the conversation breezy for our hour-plus appointment, which kept me at ease. I've had quite a bit of laser in the past but this was one of my favorite experiences and two weeks out is already a success. A bit pricier than some other spots in town but well worth the cleanliness, professionalism and kindness. Highly recommend.

My first visit to Lapiel Laser Center was excellent! Everything was on time. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I'm very happy with the results that I got after one visit. The change was significant and better than I had expected. I've had laser hair removal done before, ten years ago, and the results weren't as good after one visit. I'll also say that the price is great for the packages of treatments.

Review long overdue: I had a laser hair treatment a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier with the results! I did full leg, brazilian, upper lip and underarms. Skin feels soft and looks flawless! The place itself is clean and Catalina is just amazing! So patient and always communicating the next step during treatment. So happy I invested in this!

I'm going to go ahead and give this place a 5-star, even though I've only had one session so far. I've noticed the BIGGEST DIFFERENCE just 2 weeks after it! I had horrible facial hair growth due to PCOS and just after one session, the new growth I had that came in finer than before just started falling out all on its own. I haven't had any regrowth so far. It's made the biggest difference already. Also, my skin has never looked so great and felt so smooth.

The process was not anywhere near as painful as I thought it would be and Catalina is very careful and makes sure you go through the process with as much ease as possible. I wish I would've came here sooner!

I just have to say I was super nervous about LHR being an African American women. But when I saw this business was family ran and by women I knew I was in great hands! Catalina and her team have been awesome and so friendly and accommodating everytime I've come in there. Keep on doing what your doing ladies it's phenomenal. My only request or suggestion would be for the LHR if clients can be given the option of an ice pack? I'm sure you may have a reason but the ice does help in addition to numbing cream to help ease the pain! Thanks!

For years I've battled with excessive ingrown hairs and scarring under my neck. I noticed it right after college and it gradually got worse. My mom took me to numerous dermatologists who gave me cremes, pills, all promising to stop the hair and to take away the scarring. False. This has left me self conscious, wearing my hair straight to hide the scarring.

I have felt like a hairy man for years! Than. I found this place. I found Catalina. She and this Center have been a GODSEND. Today I go in for my third treatment and I am more and more amazed at the results as the sessions pass. My scarring is getting lighter and lighter and I haven't had a hair grow since I started the procedure in August. I even wore my hair in a high ponytail last week, something I havent done in over 5 years.

I am looking forward to finishing and hopefully doing my bikini area once this is over. If you like me are wondering if this is for you? IT IS! Love Lapiel! Very welcoming environment (and trans-friendly) with caring people. I had multiple series of full face and lip/chin laser hair removal treatments and was very satisfied with the results. I was initially terrified of laser hair removal on my face, but Catalina was great from the consultation through each session and consistently walked me through her honest (!) thoughts, expectations, and treatment approach. The front desk manager Ariana really knows her stuff! She's so organized and efficient as well as friendly and outgoing - love her! I've been to LaPiel about 5 times so far and never had a bad experience there. Recently I've started going to Olivia for SilkPeel facials. They are kind of like microderm but better because they deposit serum into your pores, in my case this helps with how exceptionally dry my skin is, but it can also be adapted for other skin types.

I own a beauty business (goldplaited, shameless plug) and we see a ton of brides. La Piel has become my go-to for brides to prep for their wedding day makeup, any issues with dryness, texture, blackheads, etc is vastly improved after a visit or 2 with these skin care goddesses.

I got the chin/lip laser hair removal package and just finished my 3rd treatment. I am sooooo happy I invested in this! You need to make sure you go to a spot that has the correct laser for African American's (lasers do make a difference). Catalina is so professional and my skin looks absolutely flawless. I was so sick of going to get threading and waxing done!

I've found my skin Mecca. In the last 2 weeks, I've visited Lapiel twice in prep for my upcoming birthday weekend. My first treatment was a laser facial with Catalina. I struggled with bad acne in my teens and always wear makeup to cover my scars and discoloration. The laser was practically painless (in my opinion, I think it varies by person) and I was floored by the immediate results.

My scars were visibly shrunk and smoother, my skin felt tighter and fresher than it has in years. I was expecting a week of downtime and redness and there was absolutely nothing, I carried on my day as if nothing happened. I returned today for a chemical peel, this time with Julie. Again, low pain, awesome products and immediate visible results. What is remarkable about all staff at LaPiel is how informative and knowledgeable they are.

They talk you through every step of the way and make recommendations that one can actually do. They don't push products or services on you but rather let you comfortably chose your own adventure. I am SO excited to start laser hair removal treatments on my beard area with Lapiel. As an African American with skin VI type, it is so difficult to find experienced aestheticians who treat darker skin tones. First I have to say that I absolutely love the interior design of this building. The hardwood floors throughout bring a certain class to the atmosphere.

My appointment was right on time. I came early, per request of Lapiel, and the receptionist informed me they were right on schedule. The receptionist, Ariana, is fierce! We had great conversation about some great restaurants and Chicago itself since I am a new Chicago resident. She made me feel right at home and welcomed. Since I will drop well over 1 thousand dollars with Lapiel over the next couple of years, it was crucial that my time and money felt valued. Ariana ensured that. Catalina.

I knew from the second Catalina began my consultation that I was in good hands. She diagnosed everything that I had already researched and she could tell all of my bad plucking habits without me even mentioning it.
