My experience at International Beauty has been amazing and the progress of my treatment has been stellar. I've been going to Christina for a year and I have little to no hair from my PCOS side affects. If your looking for someone skilled in African-American dark thick curly hair or someone who's diligent in her craft for over 20 plus year this is the place to go.

Her offices are clean, she sticks to COVID protocols, and makes sure you have any before/after care treatments you need. I wouldn't be saying all of these things if I didn't have 100% results. All the electrolysis techs have worked on me at different times. I have had work done on my face, my bikini and my legs. No other place is as good and as accommodating. Seriously, do not trust your skin to anyone else.

A while back I was unaware of this type of permanent hair removal and I was trying to live with the inconvenience of unwanted hair. Thankfully, I found this place. My hair is primarily grey and has different consistencies. The technicians at this place know how to adjust the settings to zap it and permanently remove it. The regrowth that I have on treated areas is minimal.

I'm worried that the setting used for my electrolysis has caused damage to my skin and was unnecessarily high. One of the areas treated feels very sensitive and my treatment was almost a whole week ago. I did not feel this pain when I was treated at a different business. Beware of this place, the good electrologist (Cris) hardly takes any clients and most of the 5 stars on here are because of her.

The people actually treating you will be very inexperienced in comparison. I'm hoping she did not cause pitting on my skin or other permanent damage. Also, their actual prices are higher than the ones on their website. Very misleading!

First off, I would like to say that the staff at International Beauty Center are top notch! They are all super personable and pay extreme attention to detail. I came in with with an extreme hair problem on my chin. It is something I've lived with for most of my life and finally decided to do something about it. After reading amazing reviews from IBC, I decided to give them a try.

This process takes time to complete, so patience is key! I have been going for exactly a year now, treating only my chin, and I am 95% finished with my treatment! I am beyond satisfied with my results and wish I had done this sooner. If anyone out there is struggling with the same type of issue, you are not alone! My advice is to just be patient with the process and see the results for yourself. This was a game changer for my self esteem and I would recommend it to anyone. They are truly the best in Austin! I've worked with Cris for years now with fantastic results! She has been such a wonderful and amazing electrologist and friend, throughout all the pain and sudden conflicts, she tirelessly helped me through it all. I started electrolysis sessions in another city but because of a move, wasn't able to finish. Once in Austin, I did extensive research to make sure I found a Certified Professional Electrologist who knew that they were doing in order to prevent damage and scarring. Cris and her staff are amazing! Due to the expertise and state of the art equipment at IBC, the progress was way faster than what I have had previously! Is it an investment?! Sure! But for almost the same amount as waxing, you have a permanent solution to unwanted hair! Highly recommend!

My experience with International Beauty Center has been amazing. This review is for the electrolysis that I have had done here. I worked with two technicians, one who is no longer there (briefly) and with Cristina. Cristina is incredibly patient, kind and understanding of my needs. She is incredibly thorough and makes sure to get every last hair she possibly can.

She was great about educating me on what products to use to make my treatment the most effective, and provided aftercare instructions that were detailed (something I did not receive at previous electrolysis offices). The COVID safety procedures were fabulous. Cristina takes the time to thoroughly clean and disinfect after every session, which is incredibly comforting.

The communication with this office is top notch, and their online appointment system is fast, and super easy to work with. I found myself booking appointments as far in advance as I could because it was so easy (and also because Cristina's schedule books up super quickly, that's how good she is). Overall, I could not speak more highly of this business and the team.

Cristina, is always the best! I definitely recommend seeking electrolysis services or any other services here, as they maintain a pristine facility which is important in times of Covid.

I have been coming here for electrolysis for some time now, and have to say. I wish I had started coming sooner. A previous business made my situation worse and Cris has been successfully helping me recover ever since. I won't be going anywhere else!

Cris is amazing. I am so grateful I found her. I was very nervous about starting electrolysis as I needed extensive work and I was very self conscious about it. Cris immediately put me at ease and her practice is very discrete and sensitive to her clients' needs. She is up to date on the latest technology (she got a new machine about halfway through my visits there, ) and she does everything she can to minimize discomfort.

I have been to other practitioners in the past and I assure you that Cris is faster, less painful and leaves less visible after effects. The difference in my life has been profound, I wish I had found her years sooner! After three years I have no recurrence of hair in the treated areas and I look forward to returning for additional work when my circumstances allow.

Cris is smart, fast, knowledgeable about her craft, and effective. She respected the time I booked (never charged me more), and the results met expectations! The pain was manageable and she did everything she could to minimize it. Sometimes I even fell asleep with how relaxed I was! The only flaw is that it's hard to get an appointment -- but that's because she's so busy given how good she is! If I need electrolysis again I am absolutely going back here.

I started to going to see Cris back in November of 2016 for some serious unwanted hair growth on my chin and neck area. I wish I had gone sooner! I always thought electrolysis was the same as laser hair removal and it is not! Laser hair removal only made the hair growth worse for me. Electrolysis is permanent is Cris is amazing at what she does! Anytime I have gone in for an appointment she has made me feel comfortable.

She is flexible with appointments and will make sure she gets you in her schedule when it is conveinient for you! I have been going now for about 4 months every 2 weeks and I have seen tremendous improvement and smaller hair growth after each appointment. Like I said I wish I would have done this year's ago!

I made an appointment (great-easy process) then got a text message day of appointment telling me the technician had a personal emergency to take care of and that my appointment was cancelled. I totally get that life happens, but no one made any effort to help me reschedule or even apologize. I wasn't going to wait another two weeks to get another appointment, and I would have appreciated maybe 20% off for rebooking or help rescheduling into an earlier slot. Never went but won't try to get in, either.

Chris is amazing! So glad I went to her! I've had a difficult time with unwanted hair for years now and I'm still in shock when I look in the mirror and see NOTHING in the treated areas! I've begun treatment on another area and am already super happy with the results and it's only been 3 sessions in that spot! Chris creates a comfortable environment and takes the time on each client.

Cristine is awesome! We had an eye opening consult where my wife and I learned about how life changing the work that she does is for people.people with esteem issues, abnormal hair growth, transgender clients.she is extremely passionate about what she does. We were well educated about electrolysis and the procedures prior to receiving treatment. We were impressed with how little regrowth after just one treatment.

She is a Certified Professional Electrologist who helps train other electrologists in the area and teaches continuing education for current CPE's. We highly recommend her.she is great at what she does!

The Good: Usually does good work. No scarring, relatively low pain Mixed reviews as to doing what want (see below). The Bad: Extremely hard to work with. On the one had I'm surprised that the other reviewers don't mention this. On the other hand I regret having initially praised her to a friend, who ended even more upset than I was. Cristina has very strong views and I always felt lectured at, not listened to.

What I got was an improvement over what I started with but not entirely what I wanted and not as good as I've had from others. She usually started late, sometimes over a half an hour, never apologized, and seemed to charge me for the whole time booked even if she started late and ended on time. So maybe it's a matter of chemistry. I won't speculate as to who she does and doesn't hit it off with but be assured that if you don't, it's not just you.

I've been dealing with unwanted facial hair since puberty. For years I plucked, tweezed, shaved, bleached, waxed, threaded and depleted my face only to cause scaring and still have the hair regrow within days. I've also spent far more money and time than I care to admit on laser hair removal which did not work AT ALL for me. Finding IBC and Chris has changed my life.

For the first time in almost a decade I have allowed my husband to touch parts of my face without fear he might feel/see stubble. I finally feel confident enough to walk out of my home without running for a mirror and tweezers first. Chris is very gentle and makes sure the office is clean and quiet. From the moment I walk into the neatly decorated waiting room to the end of my treatment time I always feel welcome and cared for. This place is an A+ in my book.

Cristina is the best out there! She listens to your concerns, I've seen amazing results in less time that what she originally thought it would take! If you need an electrolysis she is the best out there. I would be lost without her!

Cristina is truly exceptional when it comes to electrolysis. I had been seeing Cristina in Houston but am willing to drive to Austin to get treated by her! (That's how much I will vouch for her). I recommend her work without reservation. As if that wasn't enough, Cristina is truly personable and a superb provider of customer service. Also, Cristina is licensed to do what she does.

There are many people who claim to know electrolysis that are not only not knowledgeable but haven't had the appropriate training to be licensed and be able to do this work and do it right. Cristina is not only licensed but is also called on t educate newcomers onto the field.

I'm currently going to Cris for electrolysis on my legs, and I can say without a doubt that she's the best decision I've ever made in terms of hair removal. There are three reasons in particular that I highly recommend Cris for anyone considering electrolysis: 1) Education and Experience Cris is not only incredibly well-educated in all things electrolysis, but is also constantly challenging herself to learn more.

Her office walls are literally covered in all her certifications and licenses, and I'm not even sure she has them all up yet. The thing about Cris is that she is so dedicated to her business and to her customers, that she regularly attends international conferences on electrolysis on her own dime. She even wrote an electrolysis training book! That's how much of an expert this woman is. 2) Technology The machine that Cris uses the best of the best, and I can say that because I went to another place in Austin before her, and there, I couldn't imagine myself getting a treatment any longer than 20 minutes.

With Cris, I regularly do 2-hour treatments, and there have been times where I've almost fallen asleep. 3) Going above and beyond Cris is so kind and understanding, that I couldn't imagine going to anyone else. She's incredibly honest, so easy to talk to, always asks me if I'm doing okay and has no problem taking a small break if I ask for one.

Not only is she a great listener, but she really cares about how her patients are doing both physically and emotionally. She noticed I had a big pimple on my chin right before my long-distance boyfriend was coming to visit me, and she gave me a tiny bit of cream for it! And I didn't even ask! She just noticed and was like, "Oh, let me get you something for that." That's why Cris is my go-to gal. She is without a doubt both the best in her profession and a genuinely nice person. I'm so incredibly happy I found her, and cannot recommend her highly enough.
