Gentle Lase Laser Hair Remove

I just finished one year of laser hair removal services on my legs and bikini area with Soraya at My Gentle Lase. Wow, totally life changing and I wish I had done this earlier! I have very coarse hair that left me needing to shave constantly resulting in ingrown hairs, razor burn, itchy skin, and just general embarrassment. My skin now is smooth and healed, plus I love not having to shave!

It was a fantastic experience start to finish - not only is Soraya lovely to chat with during sessions, she's highly experienced, always on time, and was compassionate to my hair struggles. I had visited with other laser hair removal centers in the area before meeting Soraya and I was not impressed - I felt uncomfortable and pressured. The minute I met Soraya, I felt at ease, prepared, and supported. I will be going back to do more hair removal in the future!

I use to get waxed regularly, but I was unhappy with how fast the hair grew back and of course the pain was not great either. I finally decided to switch over to laser hair removal and my experience has been AMAZING! Soraya does an incredible job and has made the entire experience extremely enjoyable and easy. She is very professional, detail oriented, and is very educated on how best to perform the treatments based on the client's preference and skin type. I was very hesitant to start another laser treatment, as this had been my third time attempting laser. I already knew that having light hair was going to be an issue, and it would be harder to get rid of the hair. All my previous attempts had failed, hair had never completely fallen and the sessions were extremely painful. Before I decided to give it a third - and possibly final try, I called Soraya and she, very kindly offered a free consultation to look at my interested areas, and briefly explain why my other attempts had failed.

We discussed the hair growth cycle and even delved into hormonal issues that could impede the hair fall. A year later, I can say that it's the best laser treatment I've received. I have very few hair left, and am very happy with my results. I'll keep coming for retouches, but they're totally worth it. Just to sum up my experience, Soraya is very professional and efficient. She's patient and her technology is very effective. Her appointments are always on time and her prices are very reasonable. She deserves more than 5 starts!

I honestly can't recommend MyGentleLase enough! I did a ton of research into lasers used before choosing where to do hair removal and this is definitely the best- especially if you are fair skinned and/or have dark hair. The pricing is very competitive- sure it's more than you'd pay with a Groupon, but you'll get results that last here. Since I was regularly waxing + tipping, in a year's time the laser therapy will have paid for itself.

I never thought I'd be so happy, but this is honestly one of the best things I've done for myself and I trust the esthetician to not only know what she's doing, but also use the proper sanitation practices.

Hi Yelpers! Years later, I am still seeing Soraya. Since she's removed just about all of the hair on my body, I see her for the occasional touch-up and try to consistently see her for microdermabrasion every 4-6 weeks. She just moved in to a newer space on Church street where she has two rooms. One for laser and one for facials and microdermabrasion.

I should note that she's also done laser hair removal for my husband who didn't like the hair on his shoulders and back. At this point she's practically part of our family!

I am so happy with my laser hair removal! I first visited Soraya six years ago for laser hair removal for pretty much my entire body. It took several sessions due to hair growth cycles, which I knew would be required, and now I just go a couple times a year for touch ups. Soraya provided personalized treatment that worked best for my skin and hair growth problem areas. I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I wish I had done it years earlier instead of spending all of that time shaving, plucking, and waxing.

I have been going to Soraya since October of 2015 and she is wonderful. She is extremely caring, kind and thoughtful as she attends to our treatments. While she offers welcome suggestions on treatments that would be beneficial, she also is quick to let me know if I should wait on treatments, even if I ask for them, if that is in my best interest. Her work is superb and I recommend her!

This is the BEST place EVER! Soraya is informative and takes time to educate her clients and make them comfortable. During treatment she not only removes hair, she also checks your skin for any suspicious markings. She has saved many of her clients lives by discovering early stage of skin cancer! If you want treatments to be "pain free" stay home n shave, but if you want a hair free face. Call her n make an appointment! Don't listen to the bad reviews. Try it and see for yourself!

Soraya is basically like a second mother, she is so sweet and cares deeply about her clients. I have never felt so comfortable with people looking at my skin. I have suffered from PCOS for the last five years and the excess hair was destroying my self-esteem. Soraya saved me and I couldn't be more grateful to have met her! I have gone to other places for laser treatments but nothing compares to her. She actually cares about you! Highly recommended!

I come here from Ashburn every week and its worth the trip each time. I have seen dramatic improvement in my skin and get compliments all the time. If it wasn't for Soraya, I would still be hiding from the world. If you want laser, facials or electrolysis and actually want to see results, I can guarantee you that you won't be dissapointed.

DO NOT purchase any treatments from this place! I should have read the reviews before purchasing this groupon. First, it was very difficult to schedule a microdermabrasion because no one ever answers the phone. Second, it was impossible to find. I spent ten minutes driving up and down church street trying to find 145 Church. After calling several times, Soraya answered the phone and very rudely told me since I was 10 minutes late she would need to reschedule because her next client was there. Really?

A skincare place that schedules appointments every 10 minutes?! I couldn't find the location, as others have commented. I am going to try and get my money back from Groupon. DO NOT bother with this place- many great spots out there. Read all the negative comments and run!

I was very skeptical after reading the negative reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised and would def. return again for a microdermabrasion. Soraya was very professional and clearly knew what she was doing. Her office is simple but clean. I am not sure why she received so many negative reviews in the past. I would say that you should try her out before judging.

Excellent Service! I got a microderm here over the weekend, one of the best I've ever had! Extremely beneficial- told me lots of great information about my skin & ways to improve it. Will go back!

I have been treated by Soraya for four years for both electrolysis and microdermabrasion. The other four one-star reviews are not accurate in my experience. My skin looks terrific and I am often asked for "my secret". Soraya is professional, the office is clean and I have never had an adverse reaction. March 1, 2012 I had a wonderful facial and laser treatment this morning! This is my second attempt to leave a review of services at Gentle Lase. For some reason my earlier review does not appear in the posting so I will review this my third visit. I was very pleased with the friendly, professional treatment I received. I have scheduled my 4th facial for next month and have recommended this salon to friends and relatives. A highly professional facial is offered at a good value. My skin looks amazing :o

I live in Greenbelt, MD and drive 29 miles to Gentle Lase. I have visited twice and will go again. It is the best microdermabrasion I have ever received and I've sampled many. I will stick with Gentle Lase.

I don't care if she has 20 year experience, save your money and don't by the groupon. I don't mind if its a small business or if the lobby is tacky, I want a decent facial that does something for my skin and doesn't leave my eyes burning. She barely spoke to me through the treatment. I've had more conversations with cops giving me a ticket. Go somewhere else, you will have to get a better facial.

I just had a micro derm done and my face looks and feels amazingly soft. I have had numerous facials before and can tell the difference - Soraya is a real professional esthetician who knows her stuff. I also like the place, a cozy suite, warmly decorated in the historical part of Vienna, very easy to find with ample parking. I will certainly go back there!

Worst facial I've ever gotten! The lady was not professional, she never changed the bed sheets (from the previous customer), never made me feel comfortable! She rushed through the entire facial and kept complaining about how she made a mistake advertising with Groupon as she was not making any money (well, I would suppose you are advertising with groupon because you want to get your name/skills out there, not to make money, you make the money afterwards if you know what you are doing). Instead she ZAPPED me with a device(that is used to treat acne supposedly) & I was literally crying and praying to leave that place. Will never use her again.

Had a pretty bad experience. Very painful electrolysis and I had a bad infection as a result. Also gave misinformation about shaving causing more hair to grow.

I have been using Soraya for a few years now. I've actually worked in the medspa industry and have had several different laser treatments with several different providers. Soraya is the only one to get my repeat business. She is wonderfully professional and at the same time, very warm and her manner puts you right at ease. Laser hair removal can be a sensitive matter at times, yet I have always felt at ease and confident with Soraya.

I also have some blonde hair on my forearms, which doesn't respond to laser. Soraya is one of the few places that also offers electrolysis which is fortunate for me! I haven't found another provider who does. And I don't only visit her for laser, but her facial treatments as well. They are fantastic (I love the european with the glycolic enzyme treatment.

She takes the time to really consult with her clients, explain the science behind the treatment, find out what they truly want and what their expectations are. I have never received such individual attention from another provider. She is the only person I send my family and friends to see for treatment and has won the respect of all, from my teenager to my 60 year old mother.
